The Menti Pour

 

 

 Our wine director Bret Heiar knows how to describe wine all too well. He recently added The Menti glass pour on the wine list, and he's pretty excited about it.

Read his description below on The Menti:

"The Menti is a new glass pour at Nico Osteria that I've been waiting to arrive in the market for over six months. Not only is it entirely unique and pairs wonderfully with our food, it is fantastic and completely crushable on it's own.

The history behind it is pretty fascinating as well. The winery Menti Giovanni is located in Gambellara (within Veneto, Italy) and has been around since the late 1800's. It was founded by Giovanni Menti. His grandson is also named Giovanni and he runs the place now with his son. The two of them do everything themselves from the vine to the wine, and nobody touches it but them. They do it all organically and biodynamically. The 100 percent Garganega (most known as the grape of Soave) is unlike any I've ever had. It's wild, feral, with cider like texture, but fresh and inviting. It truly is outlaw wine for the region. It tastes like Ric Flair's entrance music."

Celebrate Easter at Nico Osteria with our $70 prix-fixe menu available only on Sunday, April 16th from 9am-4 pm. 

The prix fixe menu will highlight Nico's most classic rustic Italian style dishes as well as Chef Erling Wu-Bower's most signature brunch items such as the Lobster Scramble & Spring Lamb Hash.

Selections from the menu also include a cocktail, breakfast pastries as well as a dessert from Pastry Chef Leigh Omilinsky.

Nico Osteria is proud to be participating in the "Dine to End MS" program in support and recognition of MS Awareness Month. With every Gilder sold this March, Nico Osteria will donate $1 to The National Multiple Sclerosis Society to further raise research & advocacy for those lives affected by MS.
